BRAOU Online B.Ed Distance Duration & Eligibility

The Distance B.Ed. program at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University has a duration of 2 years, divided into 4 semesters. However, students are allowed a maximum of 5 years to complete the course, providing flexibility for those managing other responsibilities. To be eligible, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree (such as BA, B.Sc., or B.Com.) from a recognised university. They must either be trained in-service teachers currently working in recognised elementary schools or have completed a teacher education program recognised by the NCTE in face-to-face mode. A minimum of 50% marks in graduation or post-graduation is required for general category students, while a relaxation of 5% is given to candidates from reserved categories. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, with no upper age limit for admission. It’s important to note that admission is granted based on performance in a state-level B.Ed.
